How a project runs, step by step

We show you how much more you can earn or save, help you get there, and our support costs a tenth of that or less. Most clients go straight to a build.

1

Find

Find the decision that costs you most.

What we find out

Which of the decisions your people make every day costs you the most, and how much.

What we need from you

Time with the people who make the decision, and a sample of real cases.

What you get

A map of the decision, what it costs you now, and a short list of fixes worth testing.

Then you decide

Is it worth testing a better way?

What you buy

Optional. A Decision Opportunity Audit, two to three weeks, at a fixed fee.

2

Prove

Test the riskiest assumption on your own data.

What we find out

Whether a better method beats the way you decide today, and by how much.

What we need from you

Your data, a target we agree up front, and one person on your side who owns the result.

What you get

A model, solver, prototype or formal proof, measured against how you work now, and a plan to put it into production.

Then you decide

Did it hit the target, and is it worth building?

What you buy

A Proof of Value. Four to eight weeks on your own data, at a fixed fee.

3

Build

Turn what worked into software your people use.

What we find out

What the method needs to run in production every day.

What we need from you

An owner on your side, and access to the systems it connects to.

What you get

Production software with the method inside, monitoring, a manual override and an audit trail.

Then you decide

Do your people use it and trust it?

What you buy

A small senior team, led by a partner.

4

Operate

Keep it right as your business changes.

What we find out

Whether it still beats the old way, and whether your data or rules have drifted.

What we need from you

Live data, and what the people using it tell us.

What you get

Monitoring, regular checks against real outcomes, tuning, and someone to call.

Then you decide

Is it still paying for itself?

What you buy

Support. It costs 10% or less of what the system earns or saves you.

5

Compound

Start on the next decision.

What we find out

Which decision to fix next, and what we can reuse.

What we need from you

What the first project has earned so far, and the decisions around it.

What you get

A short list of what to fix next. The data and code we already have make the next build cheaper.

Then you decide

Is the next one worth doing?

What you buy

Back to Find, with much of the groundwork done.

Judge us on what you can check yourself

  1. Read the code. Our operations-research library, our MLOps platform and the core of Rainbow, our theorem prover, are open source.

  2. Read a sample audit. We wrote one for a made-up company, as thorough as a paid one, so you can see what you get before you pay.

  3. Start small if you want. Buy the audit, and decide on the next step after you see what it finds.

What you can check today

Scale, in production
We built nine internal systems for Livesport, which 100M+ people use. Gitrevio has paying customers.
A method you can run yourself
The margin-at-risk calculator is a small version of the forecaster we build.

What you need before an audit

If you can tick all four, we can start.

  • A decision your people make again and again, with money, risk or time at stake
  • Someone who owns that decision
  • Access to the data behind it
  • You are ready to act on the answer

Who is on the team

Usually four or five senior people, led by a partner. We add a specialist when the problem needs one.

  • Engagement partner

A senior partner who answers for the whole engagement and for the advice we give you.

  • Decision scientist / OR

Works out what to optimise and what limits apply, and picks the method.

  • Senior product engineer

Builds the software your people will run.

  • Data engineer

Gets your data in, clean and connected.

  • Product designer / domain specialist

Makes it easy to use, and checks it fits the way your people work.

  • Formal-methods specialist

Joins when an error would cost a lot of money, harm people's health, break the law or expose private data.

You see the money

From day one we keep a running account of what is at stake, what you have spent and what you got back. We decide together, on those numbers, whether to go on.

An owner on your side

You name one person on your side who runs the system once it is live. That person keeps it in use.

Your first 30 days

Within a month you know what the decision costs you today, which fixes are worth doing, and whether we think you should build, change the plan or stop.

Start with a conversation

Tell Jiri or Ivo what you want to improve. Talking to us costs nothing. If you want the numbers in writing first, we start with a short audit.
