In this week’s Meet the Developer we are meeting with Dimos Michailidis, a senior software developer from Greece!
How long have you been working at Flexiana?
I joined Flexiana in April 2021.
What do you like the most about your job?
It allows me to express my creativity, through the problem-solving it requires.
What does your day normally look like?
I usually start my day by joining a stand-up meeting with the client, then reading and writing code, looking at log messages, and discussing with my colleagues. It’s more exciting than it sounds!
What was your thought the first time you heard about Flexiana?
The first time I heard about Flexiana was through one of its clients. I knew that it is a dignified partner but I had no idea that it has so many Clojure developers.
What have you learned from life that you apply to your job?
Before forming an opinion, I try to approach every situation from many different angles.
What current project are you involved in?
I am involved in a project related to instant payments that belong to an innovative financial institution.
What are your learnings from the project?
When a group consists of creative people, it can overcome obstacles and deliver successful products.
What are your goals for the upcoming three months in the project?
We want to maintain the services that are written in Clojure so that they continue working with the high quality they did so far. We are going to implement a few new features as well.
What have you learned in Flexiana that you did not know before?
I didn’t know that a fully remote environment can offer such strong and friendly connections.
What excites you the most about working at Flexiana?
I enjoy being part of a company committed to using modern technologies.
What are your favorite memories from Flexiana?
The discussions with my colleagues that live in other places. It’s really nice to make friends from all over the world.
How would you describe working at Flexiana in a word?
I would describe my experience working with Flexiana as trustworthy.
