LiveSet · own it

What LiveSet costs

LiveSet is $149, paid once, with twelve months of updates and up to five of your own devices. There are no tiers and no subscription. This page sets out what you pay, what it runs on, and what is not here yet.

$149, and the terms are plain.

One price covers it. Here is exactly what that price carries.

Paid once

One price, paid one time. No monthly fee and no seat to rent.

Twelve months of updates

A year of updates comes with it. The build you have keeps working after the window ends.

Up to five devices

Install it on as many as five of your own machines: the studio one, the stage one, the spare.

Renew only for newer builds

When the update window lapses, nothing stops. Renewing just buys the newer builds if you want them.

What the price does not include

Some of the value here is in what we left out on purpose.

No tiers

One version, with everything in it. There is no better edition held back behind a bigger price.

No subscription

You buy it, you own it. It does not go dark if a payment lapses.

No nagware

No pop-ups pushing you to upgrade, no interruptions while you work.

No telemetry-heavy tracking

It is not built to watch you. There is no heavy tracking following what you do.

Offline activation

Licensing at a venue with no wifi

Activation checks in once, the first time. After that it verifies offline, on the machine, so a set never waits on a connection. It uses Ed25519 keys and a per-device fingerprint. If the booth has no signal, LiveSet does not care.

Activation, roughly

first launch · one online check

after that · verified on the machine

key · Ed25519

device · per-device fingerprint

at the venue · no network needed

Platform

macOS first, and said plainly.

LiveSet is macOS-first and Apple Silicon native. It is built for M-series Macs, and Intel Macs run it under Rosetta well enough for studio work.

Windows and Linux are planned and have not shipped. They are on the roadmap and not on your machine yet. If you are waiting for a port, that is where it stands today.

Where it stands

The trial

A 14-day trial is planned, so you will be able to run the full app before you decide. It has not shipped, so treat it as a plan for next year and not as something you can start this afternoon. When it lands, this page will carry it. In the meantime, if you want to weigh it up, write to us and we will talk it through.
