Engineering value intelligence · in production
Gitrevio
A founder or an investor wants to know one thing about engineering: is the money producing the result the business expected? The tools that exist answer a different question, usually about how busy each developer is. Gitrevio connects plans, delivery and business context so that founders, investors and engineering leaders can see risk, capacity and what AI tooling is doing to productivity, at the level of work and teams. It does not rank people, and it was built by people who would not want to be ranked.

What sits inside
What it answers
The four questions it answers
These are the questions a board asks about engineering, and the ones an engineering dashboard usually cannot answer.
-
Are we getting the result the business expected from engineering?
Compare what was planned, what shipped and what it cost against the outcome the business was buying.
-
Which work is quietly running over?
Surface projects drifting on cost or timeline before the overrun is fully visible in financial reporting.
-
Where is our capacity going?
See how effort is distributed across delivery, maintenance and unplanned work, without a single activity score.
-
What is AI changing in our productivity?
Measure the effect of AI-era tooling on delivery and cost in context, with the headline claims left to the vendors.
What data it connects
What it connects to
Gitrevio is a multi-tenant ELT platform: it draws from the systems that already run your engineering organisation and connects them to business context.
Illustrative flow. Actual connectors depend on the systems in your organisation.
First value
What you get in the first weeks
You do not need every connector live to get a first read, and most customers start with three.
Early value comes from joining a few core sources: version control, issue tracking and one business signal such as project or finance data, and seeing where planned work, delivered work and cost diverge.
From there, cost-to-complete forecasts and capacity views sharpen as more of the 31 sources connect. But the point is a diagnosis a leader can act on, and another dashboard to watch would not be one.
Responsible measurement
What it measures, and what it refuses to
Gitrevio is built for owners and leaders who want a true picture of the engineering investment. It is built against surveillance of individuals, on purpose, and the two are not in tension.
What it is for
- Diagnosing risk, capacity and cost at the level of work and teams.
- Giving owners and investors an accountable view of the engineering investment.
- Understanding what AI-era tooling changes about delivery.
What it is not
- Not a single productivity score per developer.
- Not a surveillance tool for ranking or policing individuals.
- Not a substitute for the judgement of the people who lead the work.
The decision science inside
The decision science inside it
Gitrevio is more than a pipeline joining data sources. It carries 388 named decision-science functions, including cost-to-complete forecasting, that turn the connected data into forecasts and recommendations an agent or a person can call by name.
Why this is not a chatbot pointed at your database
A general assistant with a connection to your data will answer a question. It will improvise the method each time, and the method is gone when the conversation ends. So two people asking the same question a month apart can get different answers, and neither can be audited.
These 388 are named, versioned functions with declared inputs, and every one is dispatchable by name. There is no improvising in it. The same question returns the same method, the method can be inspected before you act on it, and the answer carries the assumptions it was computed under. For a decision you are going to defend to a board, that difference is the product.

FAQ
Questions about Gitrevio
What does Gitrevio do?
It connects plans, delivery and business context so founders, investors and engineering leaders can tell whether engineering work is producing the result the business expected. It is a multi-tenant platform, in production, and it diagnoses risk, capacity and AI-era productivity, without issuing a single activity score per developer.
What data sources does it connect?
Thirty-one connectors across the systems that already run an engineering organisation: version control and code review, CI/CD and deployment, issue and project tracking, monitoring and incident and on-call, AI coding tools, HRIS and people data, and communication and calendar. It is a multi-tenant ELT platform that joins these into one picture and connects them to business context. Cost and contract data is brought in alongside them, never pulled from a finance connector.
Do I need every source connected before it is useful?
No. Early value comes from joining a few core sources: version control, issue tracking and one business signal such as project data or your own cost figures, and seeing where planned work, delivered work and cost diverge. Cost-to-complete forecasts and capacity views sharpen as more of the sources connect.
How is Gitrevio different from a single productivity score?
It is built to answer executive questions about the engineering investment. It does not rank people. It diagnoses risk, capacity and cost at the level of work and teams. It is not a single productivity score per developer and not a surveillance tool for policing individuals — it is on the side of the owner and of accountability, and never against the engineer.
Who should use it?
Founders who need to know whether engineering spend is producing the outcome the business is buying; investors who want an accountable, context-aware read on delivery risk and capacity across a portfolio; and engineering leaders who want to diagnose where work is drifting and where capacity is going without reducing their team to a metric.

Bring us a hard problem
Not sure whether engineering is producing the result you expected?
Bring us the question. A partner will say whether Gitrevio, an audit, or a different route fits it, and if none does, that is the reply.
